The Date fruits that are cultivated in Iran in a large scale are as follows:

As we mention repeatedly in our previous articles, Date fruits vary in thousands of types. However, not all these varieties are cultivated in a large scale and according to the weather and soil that is available in a country, they get cultivated. In some countries the production of Date fruit is larger than their use in the country allowing the surplus to be exported to other countries. Iran’s main export is the 5 type of Dates mentioned above.
Mazafati Dates:
These dates are the most important Date products that are produced in Iran. The most famous exported Dates from Iran, also the biggest cultivator of this Date and has the largest export statistics in the world.
Variety of Dates in Bushehr:
These varieties include, Zahedi, Kabkaab, Haj Baagheri, Bahri, Berimi, Samrun, Shekar, Sisi, Hollo, Sarvari, Zandi, Khashen Khar, Estak Sorkhu, Khasooyi, Jomadi, Birmi, Tiras, Shahabi, Lash, Kandi, Khanizi, Samili, Khazravi, Gantaar, Panbe, Sheikh Awli, Zamerdu, Deh Darb, Ahromi, Khavizi, Khavar, Makti, Shakhuni, Mosala, Ghasab and Radesti Dates.

These varieties include, Shahani, Zahedi, Kabkaab, Piarom, Khasooyi, Halileyi, Esta`meran, Medjool, Barhi, Deiri, Gantaar and Panje Aroos Dates.
